Galloway gasoline farm engine. They were used on farms before they had electricity in the country. They were used to run stove wood saws and corn grinders.

Rumley Oil-Pull tractor. Circa 1900. These were started with gasoline. When the engine gets hot you switch over to kerosene. The engine is cooled with kerosene so the kerosene gets hot and burns easier. Note the iron wheels. Beats walking all day behind mules.

The STERLING cycle heat engine was invented in Scotland in the early 1800s. Here is one built to pump water from a well or spring to a tank in the attic. This was the easy way before city water and electrification. Made circa 1875.
